Orchestral Masses
Assumption Grotto is famous for its orchestral Masses, presenting arrangements both old and new written specifically for use in Mass. Enjoy the music of composers such as Bach, Mozart, and Vivaldi – as well as contemporary, unique compositions by our very own Father Eduard Perrone, pastor-emeritus of Assumption Grotto.
For years Assumption Grotto has been a beacon of beautiful music offered as an integral part of the Mass. Join Fr. Eduard Perrone and members of the Assumption Grotto Orchestra for Christmas, Easter, Corpus Christi, and many other Solemnities and Feasts.
Full details of the orchestral Masses can be found on our Events page. Assumption Grotto welcomes everyone to the orchestral Masses, parishioner or visitor, Catholic or not. Each orchestral Mass is offered as one of the parish Masses, not an additional performance, and we ask everyone coming to an orchestral Mass to remember it is first worship offered to God as a parish and to show respect for that with decorum and reverent silence.
